The Overlord Mark Four Watch!!!

Nothing says 'fine timepiece" like the word "Overlord" in the title. This should be the watch of choice for all megalomaniacal rising stars! Aside from the functional and lume filled, yet somewhat homely subsidiary seconds dial (bright red on pale green?), this Graham Chronofighter Oversize Overlord Mark Four watch is pretty cool. The best part is easily the "riveted" look of the dial, meant to remind you of mechanized war machines, (or just machines) from the past. Most obviously fighter/bomber aircraft. Actually this watch is named after a specific "Overlord" mission that was part of British Air Force history.

The look of the dial in the 47mm wide case is inspired from Hurricane and Spitfire aircraft interiors. The basic Graham Chronofighter watch theme is there in its full glory, complete with the large size and trigger-like chronograph pusher system. Inside the watch is an automatic movement and quality for Graham timepieces is quite good. I've always felt that their watches are very 'solid' feeling. The Chronofighter Oversize Overlord Mark Four watch will be available as part of a limited edition of 500. I still get irked by use of the term "oversize," as I don't think it makes any sense - for anything really. It feels/sounds like marketing bullshit. The only things that are "oversized" are to big to actually work/fit - whereas this timepiece will work and fit just fine. Look for availability soon with pricing that I imagine will be between $8,000 - $20,000.

Feel the Time - Timepiece for the Blind

Although the blind can’t be in awe of the watches that us, privileged with eyesight get to see, designer Anna Bieniek took an approach with the visually impaired in mind. Feel the Time’s face features rotating disc with a tangible nub on each allowing the blind to read the time. The three-dimensional rings separate the discs from each other and a flexible membrane protects the face of the watch. Blind or not, this watch definitely challenges your senses and looks good on any wrist. Shout out to Limitemagazine on this one crazy!

Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Tourbillon!!

This is the Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Tourbillon is one of the most exquisite vintage time pieces I've laid eyes my eyes on. The Art Deco(Yeah I'm refined)-inspired 1945 Vintage case looks very unique and unconventional in the skeletal design. The three distinctive bridges add a certain elegance to the looks. The barrel, gear train and escapement are all arranged along the same axis due to the configuration of the bridges. The sapphire caseback is sleek and the movement has an appealing transparent characteristic. This design and mechanism dates back to 1860 and has the unmistakable classic aesthetics. It took seven days of hard work per watch to capture the finish on the bridges. It looks gorgeous in pink gold and it isn't available in any other metal. Girard-Perregaux spells pedigree and luxury. And thus it has made its way to the Robinson Experience!

They will now be offered in several distinctive haute joaillerie interpretations which are a quintessence of jewelry and high watch-making fireworks. Among the several models is a white gold model with black baguette diamonds on its bezel, lugs, and a dial flange presents the most contemporary and eye catching impression of the automated Mongol warriors’ spar where the carillon minute repeater is activated. The other model is the white gold Genghis Khan Haute Joaillerie watch that features well over five carats of baguette diamonds and stones set skillfully set into the bezel, lugs, and the concave bezel flange. Diamond and bling are not the only spectacular features of the watch, the other attributes that set the watch apart are the tourbillion, the delightful gold automations, and the minute repeater with Westminster chime.

Not For Everyone: GTMo6

This new addition for Grönefeld is so impressive that it makes many other timepieces pale in comparison to its GTM06. This outstanding piece is said to be the first Grande Complication of the Dutch brothers Bart and Tim Grönefeld. It is counted amongst the world's most exclusive and expensive watches. It has the most stylish and elegant look one could hope for. They say that it is Netherland's most complicated wristwatch. An example of its exclusivity is that there has only been ten times 18 karat gold and platinum have gone in the making of a timepiece. The GTM06 is priced at $460,000, so now you know it's not for everyone.

Girard Perregaux's New Collection

The new watch collection by Girard-Perregaux is everything you are looking for when it comes to style and sophistication. This beautifully crafted watch is a tribute to the fascinating dance of the stars and the Cat's Eye Annual and Zodiac Calendars present an attractive version of time passing by. Guided by a lucky star, the signs of the zodiac glide by in conjunction with the months of the year. In the center of the dial, the moon shows its diverse faces. At 2 o'clock, the date completes the annual calendar, by an ingenious device automatically allowing for months of a different length. A single annual correction at most is needed, in February. This elegant creation requires 60 manufacturing steps to achieve its final look that consists of a mother of pearl dial along with other precious materials like gold and diamonds. This water resistant beauty comes in an even prettier pink gold case. This collection is definitely the finest mix of vintage and contemporary art when it comes to a watch.
